BRIEF ITINERARY

 

Day 1

Upon arrive in Siem Reap where you will be met by your personal tour guide. You will then be transferred to your confirmed hotel, then free at your own leisure.

 

Day 2

This morning, visit Angkor Wat, one of the wonders and most important religious monuments in the world, then explore the old mark for souvenir if the time limited. In the afternoon you will visit Bantey Kdei with its rarely seen sculpted female deities. End the afternoon with a visit to the mountain temple of Pre Rub and see the beautiful sunset over the temple before returning your hotel. (Breakfast)

 

Day 3

Today visit the large temple of Ta Prom. This is in a natural state, due to the fact that it has been left untouched rather than being restored. The jungle has reclaimed the temple, with huge tree trunks and vines snaking around the centuries-old stonework. You will end the tour at the north part of this temple. You will be walking on path experiencing the bird singing and being part of a very rare temple tour visited by only a few, The Ta Nei temple. You will have breakfast provided on the trip. In the afternoon, you will visit the South gate of Angkor Thom with your choice to walk on eight meters high wall of Angkor Thom compound from the south to north-east. your driver will be stand by for you for continued exploration of Bayon, Baphoun, Pimeanakhas, Elephant and The Leper King Terrace. (Breakfast)

 

Day 4

In the morning, we proceed to visit the graceful Khmer Temple of Shiva - Banteay Srei - that dates back to the 11th century. Banteay Srei means "Citadel of Women". The site has some of Angkor’s best preserved sandstone decorations, friezes, and lintels. This afternoon, you will be driven to Tonle Sap lake, The largest lake in South-east Asia and also the world’s top fresh water fishery, you will visit one of the authentic stilled village and the largest populated floating villages ( Kompong Kleang or Kompong Pluk). (Breakfast)

 

Day 5

Visit Local Village-Planting/ Harvesting Vegetable/ Rice cooking with local family

Today, we journey out to a local village where you will spend the day. The village site around 10km from Siem Rea and consists of mostly farming families. This is a real village, not a replica set up for tourist\s to visit, as much you may need to be flexible, things can change, ceremonies may be welcomed by the the farming families and have some to interact with the families before starting the activities such as planting vegetable crops, harvesting and watering vegetables. In additional, to experience what is the real in the village, You and the farming family will harvest vegetables and cook them together for lunch. The farming family will show how to cook and tell you about the Cambodia vegetables, spices and culinary technique of a traditional Khmer dish. Then you will enjoy your own culinary creation together with your host family. After lunch, learn about life in a typical village. Visit the local Pagoda and school and find out about village customs and culture and gain new insights and experience. As you wander slowly through the village your guide will show you about the way of life for the local people and answer any question that you have learn about, religion and people’s lives. This chance to meet local people, learn about their lives and interact in a respectful and meaningful way. Then, proceed to local monastery and meet the resident monks and participate in private good luck blessing ceremony, wishing you good health and a safe journey, performed by local monks. Sit on the mat while the monks chant blessings and sprinkle holy water on you- a traditional way which is believed pass on the good luck of the gods. Afterwards, a sacred thread will be tied around your wrist. This is traditionally believed to protect you from any evil spirits or accidents and it a memorable expeinence. (Breakfast)

 

Day 6

Free at own leisure until transfer to airport the take departure flight to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s bustling capital and once called the “Pearl of Asia”. In the afternoon, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the notorious Khmer Rouge Killing Fields. The exhibits at these sites are graphic, and may cause distress among some visitors. (Breakfast)

 

Day 7

Weaving through Phnom Penh’s colorful streets, explore some of our favorite hidden gems by traditional transportation method: the Cyclo. In the afternoon, begin visiting some of Cambodia’s remarkable sites, including the National Museum, the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom. (Breakfast)

 

Day 8

Private transfer to the airport for departure flight. Depending on your flight schedule it may be possible to take city tour. (Breakfast)
