BRIEFED ITINERARY

 

Day 1

Upon arrival in Siem Reap where you will be met by your personal tour guide, you will then be transferred to your confirmed hotel.

 

In the afternoon, you will visit Angkor National Museum and Wat Thmey (Killing field).
Overnight in Siem Reap

 

Day 2

In the early morning, you will enjoy a sunrise at Angkor Wat then explore in the early hours after the sunrise, your personal guide will assist with best shot then we proceed to visit the graceful Khmer Temple of Shiva - Banteay Srei - that dates back to the 11th century. Banteay Srei means "Citadel of Women". The site has some of Angkor’s best preserved sandstone decorations, friezes, and lintels.

 

You will be then heading again to explore the temples in Angkor Thom (13th Century) complex, including the South Gate, the Bayon, The Terrace of the Elephants and The Terrace of the Leper King, finishing your exploration at the Royal Enclosure and continues to the temples in small tour included the impressive Ta Prohm Temple. (Breakfast)

Day 3

Today visit Beng Mealea, a unique 11th century temple which almost rivals Angkor Wat in terms of size. The main temple sits on an area of 108 hectares and is surrounded by a 45 metre-wide moat. Although it dates from the same period as Angkor Temples, its artworks and friezes are different in style. Much of the temple is enveloped by the jungle, thus, adding to the sense of mystic discover.

 

You will also be driven to Tonle Sap Lake, The largest lake in South-east Asia and also the world top fresh water fishery; you will visit one of the authentic stilled village and the largest populated floating villages. (Breakfast)

Day 4

In the morning, take a tour of the countryside around Siem Reap. Just a short distance from the archaeological wonders of Angkor, there is a different, living history. Lifestyles in the countryside around Siem Reap have changed little since the temples were built over 1,000 years ago, but with new roads opening up the countryside this way of life may soon be gone forever. The tour today will explore this disappearing way of life, taking you to rice paddies, woodlands and gardens outside the city travelling on foot, enabling you to reach places where mass tourism has not encroached.

 

Along the way you will be able to buy seasonal fruit, and get hands-on experience of the essential rural skills of the rice harvest, thatching, fishing and cooking simple meals over an open fire. Visit countryside along with visit local school and pagoda. Also, you will experience the religious ceremony called blessing ceremony which ones believe that it will bring good luck and avoid from bad spirits. As the afternoon draws in, you will be taken to visit the house of a local family for a home-cooked lunch including one bottle of beer or soft drink and one bottle of water. Enjoy the meal together with your host family. This is a memorable experience!

 

In the afternoon, experience the local market, Old Market for souvenirs or Phsa Ler, to support the local economics. Visit the Artisan workshop and Theam’s house (if time permit) to see how local handicraft are made. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Day 5

Overland transfer with driver only to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s bustling capital and once called the “Pearl of Asia”. Once arrival in Phnom Penh, you will be transferred to the hotel.

 

In the afternoon, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and Russian market. (Breakfast)
Overnight in Phnom Penh

 

Day 6

In the morning, begin visiting some of Cambodia’s remarkable sites, including the National Museum, the Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom.

 

In the afternoon, visit Central Market and take sunset boat cruise on Mekong River. (Breakfast)
Overnight in Phnom Penh

 

Day 7

Privately transfer to the airport for departure flight. (Breakfast)
